So, I brought a card reader for my Mac because you can not put a memory card directly in it. Now I have connected my card reader with the memory card in it my Mac but I do not know how to view the photos and save them in to my computer! Help?

In the Finder, click File > New Finder window. Select the "card" (might be called "no name"). Drag the files out of this window to… wherever.
The reason you can’t put a memory card in it is because there are about seven different formats (sizes) of cards. Look at the size of this card reader. Would you want that built into the side of your Mac?
If this card came out of a camera, you usually can connect the camera, with the card still in it, to the Mac and Image Capture or iPhoto will open, unless you have Image Capture preferences set to open "No application" when a camera is connected.
